Tropical Storm Beta to bring showers, lower temperatures to San Antonio Monday
San Antonio will likely see precipitation Monday into Tuesday from Tropical Storm Beta as the storm continues through the Gulf of Mexico, according to the National Weather Service.
Meteorologists with the NWS predict the San Antonio area can expect a 60 percent chance of showers on Monday as rain bands from Beta continue through the night.
Beta was set to make landfall along Texas’ central or upper Gulf Coast late Monday and then northeasward toward Louisiana, forecasters said.
San Antonio residents will likely see light showers in the morning with additional rain through the afternoon, though meteorologists said rain is possible through the next 24 to 48 hours.

Most of the shower accumulation will be east of San Antonio, though the Alamo City is predicted to receive a quarter-inch of rain by the end of Tuesday. However, those totals could change depending on how the tropical storm system reacts in the next 12 hours, the NWS said.
With the precipitation comes cooler weather and overcast skies. Temperatures are only expected to reach the upper 70s on Monday with a low of 68. Tuesday will start to warm up with temperatures around 82. Once the storm system moves away on Wednesday, temperatures will return to normal in the mid 80s through the rest of the week.
